World Championships

Less than two weeks till our next competition, the Gold Coast Open. Its come up pretty quick and looking back I wish I had more time to prepare. By the time Easter had come round it was nice to get away from the big smoke and enjoy some relaxation, probably an overdue break and a good time to catch up with the family.
Now its down to business, focusing on the competition, mentally preparing as well as taking care of the physical side. Everyday of the past week I have been consciously doing something, working towards Saturday week. Light gym sessions were I have been practicing a few kicking combination's, nothing new just making sure what I've got is fast and sharp. Recovery sessions, plenty of stretching along with visits to my physio and myotherapist. My body feels really good, the best its been since the start of the year and with that my confidence is up.
Counting down I now only have 5 scheduled Taekwondo sessions till I leave next Thursday. No time to learn anything new, those sessions for me will be high intensity, lasting no longer than an hour so as to not fatigue my body to much.
My weight is fine, a bit under my division of -74kg though I will still be watching the type of food I eat. A balanced, good, clean and healthy diet so I feel my absolute best. And that covers everything I like to do before a competition.
The World Championships are on now in Korea and you are supposed to be able to stream it live but I've had no luck. The internet can be amazing and amazingly frustrating at times especially at home were it continually seems to drop out.
I've checked some of the results and Carmen made the quarter finals (congratulations, an outstanding effort!).
In any case the fights are now getting uploaded onto http://www.dartfish.tv were you can subscribe for free and watch the competition.
